Cherilyn Ann, known in the music industry as “Cher”, grew up to the sound of her father’s band practicing in the basement, inspiring a love of old Soul and Blues music from an early age. At age 8 she was ordering Otis Redding cassette tapes from an ad in the back of TV Guide!
Her musical influences include Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Sam Cooke, Janis Joplin, Beth Hart and Ray Charles… just to name a few.
Cher didn’t find her voice, however, until the age of 33 but hasn’t stopped singing and performing ever since. She has been part of a number of bands: 305, Four Dogs Playing Poker, No Strings Attached and Ginger Jungle. She is well respected in the industry and has worked as a studio musician with artists such as Taylor Swift and Steven Tyler.
Cher has and continues to write her own original songs which can now be found on all musical platforms.
When she isn’t performing, she is raising her amazing daughter and spending time with her favorite pet, her rescue dog affectionately names One-Eyed Willie.
